
After graduating from the Physics Department of the University of Athens, Ioannis Antoniou investigated different fascinating aspects of Complexity together with Ilya Prigogine (Nobel Prize 1977) at the Solvay Institutes, Brussels. From 2001 to 2023, he taught Information Theory, Chaos, Mathematical Modeling, and Quantum Information at the Mathematics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Ioannis Antoniou has served as Deputy Director of the International Solvay Institutes of Physics and Chemistry in Brussels (1994-2003) and as Member of the Scientific Council of the International Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia (2001-2015). Ioannis Antoniou is the author of more than 300 publications, coordinated several Research projects, and organized 23 Conferences Ioannis Antoniou is Professor Honoris Causa of Lomonosov Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University and a Member of the European Academy of Arts, Sciences and Humanities. He was awarded the Kapitza Medal of the Russian Academy, the De Donder Prize from the Royal Academy of Belgium (1991-1993), and the Prigogine Prize (2008).
Dr. Sofoklis Sotiriou holds a PhD in High Energy Neutrino Astrophysics and a PhD in Science Education. He is the Head of R&D Department of Ellinogermaniki Agogi, one of the most innovative schools in Greece, where has been active in the co-ordination and development of research projects on implementation of advanced technologies (e.g. mobile applications, wearable computers, VR and AR applications, robotics) in science education and training. His main research field is the design, application, and evaluation of virtual and digital media environments that could bridge the gap between formal and informal science learning. He has been i. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences (since 2003), member of the board of ECSITE (since 2004) and has served as Expert Evaluator to the European Commission Framework Programmes. Dimitrios Tzovaras is a Senior Researcher (Researcher A’) and the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas(CERTH) President of the Board. His main research interests include visual analytics, 3D object recognition, search and retrieval, behavioral biometrics, assistive technologies, information and knowledge management, multimodal interfaces, computer graphics and virtual reality. Dimitrios Tzovaras has been working as a Researcher since September 1999 and he has been involved in more than 60 projects, funded by the EC and the Greek Ministry of Research and Technology. His involvement with those research areas has led to the co-authoring of over 80 articles in refereed journals and more than 150 papers in international conferences. Leontios J. Hadjileontiadis was born in Kastoria in 1966. He received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering in 1989 and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1997, both from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He also received a Diploma in Musicology from AUTH in 2011 and a PhD in Music Composition from the University of York, York, U.K., in 2004. He has significant project management experience, coordinating European projects >€15,000,000 so far. Professor L. Hadjileontiadis has been awarded, among others, as an innovative researcher by Microsoft, USA (2012), the Silver Award in Teaching Delivery at the Reimagine Education Awards (2017-2018) and the Healthcare Research Award from the Dubai Healthcare City Authority Excellence Awards (2019). He is a Senior Member of IEEE. At the same time, he has so far composed 95 works for different music ensembles and has been awarded both in Greece and abroad. Since 2001 he has been a member of the Greek Composers’ Union (GGU) (Vice-President A).

Prof. Stavros G. Stavrinides is a Physicist with a MSc in Electronics and a PhD in Chaotic Electronics, all awarded by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He currently serves as a full Professor at Physics Department at Democritus University of Thrace in Greece.
His research interests include, non-exhaustively, interdisciplinary applications of nonlinear dynamics and chaos (from social and economic systems to medicine and pharmaceutics), chaotic electronic circuits, unconventional (chaos-based) hardware security and Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF) focusing on the IoT, memristors and memristor-based circuits, nonlinear time series analysis and forecasting. Research regarding unconventional machine learning approaches and edge computing (like reservoir computing) are also in his active research domains.
Prof. Stavrinides has taught numerous topics in physics and electronics in academia for more than 17 years. Prior positions include (among others) being Professor at International Hellenic University in Greece, visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus and Adjunct Lecturer at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.

In the past, he has been employed as web developer and E-Commerce Data Analyst.
